Nadine Newlight, the founder and "local diva" of Maui CODE PINK has been invited to participate in the pink high jinks at the Democratic National Convention, where she has also been accepted as an official volunteer. The convention will take place in Denver from the 25th to the 28th of August.
Newlight is known for her political activism as a long-time member of the steering committee of Maui's `Ohana Coalition, vice president of GMO-Free Maui, chair of the Maui County Committee on the Status of Women and prolific editorial writer. She is also the director of the Maui Individualized Learning Center in Wailuku.
Nadine has already received three generous pledges toward her convention flight expenses and has secured housing and transportation. You can make this trip happen by
