RE:  What would you do to stand up to Bush and his call for sending more troops to the Iraq civil war?

Would you hold a sign with others saying NO more troops to die for oil?

Would you visit a recruiter's office, or stand outside it with a sign?

Would you let other Maui citizens see that you support our troops by demanding they be brought home?

Would you join us on Valentine’s Day afternoon, Feb. 14,  for a 1-hour peace demonstration? Meet at the front entrance to the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center, Kahului, at 3:30pm, or as close to that as you can.

Suggested theme of signs and t-shirts: to show that our hearts are broken over the 3,115 American service men and women dead for Bush’s lies (as of Feb. 8), the over 23,000 wounded, thousands more suffering the anguish of PTSD, and more than 655,000 Iraqi men, women and children killed for Bush’s oil war. To show that we vehemently urge Congress to Stop the war funding, Stop the surge and bring our troops home from the Iraq civil war. DON'T SEND MORE TROOPS TO DIE FOR THE LIE-BASED WAR!

PLANNING AND SIGN-MAKING SESSION FROM 2 TO 4PM, SATURDAY, FEB. 10, MCC HALE 217 (near tree-shaded front parking lot).  Bring ideas and signage ( cardboard and poster board for large hearts, white t-shirt, paints, etc) if you can.  Does anyone have a megaphone that can be used on Feb. 14?
